Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate Azure services that provision, manage, and monitor millions of cloud-based virtual devices.
  • Own the architecture and implementation of secure, distributed, scalable, and resilient microservices through live-site operation.
  • Partner with Azure Compute, Azure Network, Azure Storage, and Microsoft Intune teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and raise the team’s technical bar.
  • Monitor services, perform diagnostics and incident response, and improve operational reliability.
  • Build distributed services primarily in C# and .NET using Cosmos DB, asynchronous workflow orchestration, and ARM-based resource management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience building and shipping production applications or services.
  • Strong technical design skills and experience driving large-scale system designs for commercial products or services.
  • Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed services in a public cloud environment.
  • Strong coding, debugging, problem-solving, and object-oriented design skills.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud background check and other applicable security screening requirements.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or a master’s degree and 4+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience with virtualization, hypervisors, remote desktop, or streaming protocols.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and adaptability skills.
