Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, document, deliver, and maintain ControlST and related software applications and services.
- Develop software components and systems for the Windows operating system while meeting quality specifications.
- Analyze user needs, translate requirements into code, and collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers, engineering teams, partners, vendors, and product service teams.
- Participate in design and code reviews and apply software development, testing, documentation, refactoring, scalability, security, and continuous integration practices.
- Reproduce, debug, and resolve product issues and interact with customers on requirements, issue resolution, and satisfaction.
- Drive performance and reliability improvements and contribute to development-process improvements that increase productivity and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. Government export restrictions, including U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual status.
- Preferred experience with C# or Java object-oriented programming through school or work experience.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Windows desktop application programming, C++, real-time operating systems, embedded programming, automated test methodologies, configuration management tools, and software build and installation methodologies.
- Knowledge of .NET Core, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, VC++, SQL, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles is preferred.
- Experience or introductory training in Lean/Agile environments and familiarity with continuous integration are preferred.
- Edison Engineer status, LPX, ENGAGE, or Teardown Training completion, progress toward an engineering master's degree, and/or an ACE Certificate are desired.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are desired.
