Senior/Lead Software Engineer, Site Reliability (Agentforce Operations)

Responsibilities
- Own reliability roadmaps and evolve architectures into highly available, globally scalable systems.
- Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code and robust, push-button deployment tooling.
- Support the scaling and cost-effective deployment of AI/ML infrastructure.
- Build production testing, release, observability, diagnosis, upgrade, and operational automation systems.
- Design and strengthen identity, access, networking, workload isolation, secrets management, deployment security, and policy enforcement.
- Diagnose distributed-system and architectural problems and implement performance, infrastructure, data-model, and scalability improvements.
- Establish engineering standards and guardrails that prevent regressions and improve system health.
- Partner with product, customer, forward-deployed, and engineering teams to make technical tradeoffs and understand customer needs.
- Mentor engineers and lead technical design discussions across backend architecture and system design.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in SRE, production engineering, or backend engineering focused heavily on operations and infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to write and review production code in Golang, TypeScript, or Python.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and debugging interactions among microservices, databases, and AI agents.
- Mastery of Golang, GraphQL, and PSQL, with experience delivering high-performance optimizations.
- Experience with RDS, Redis/ElastiCache, and EKS.
- Deep backend expertise in areas such as data modeling, database performance, state management, API design, transactionality, concurrency, memory management, fault tolerance, and scaling.
- Repeated ownership of foundational work in complex distributed systems, from diagnosis through adoption.
- Strong written and verbal communication, technical leadership, accountability, and collaborative mentoring skills.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Experience with regulated or public-sector environments, data sovereignty, classified or limited-connectivity environments, or Department of Defense Impact Level 6 is preferred.
- Experience with Temporal, service mesh, networking, security, identity management, workflow engines, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Salesforce, or supply-chain, logistics, and manufacturing workflows is preferred.
- A B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. degree, or exposure to Istio and Typesense is preferred.

- The stated base salary range is $148,500-$313,700 annually, with a higher range listed for select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan locations.
