Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain multi-tier Python applications and web-based or distributed software solutions.
- Implement cybersecurity controls that secure the firm’s use of artificial intelligence and generative AI technologies.
- Translate complex business requirements into functional, technical, and system specifications and designs.
- Collaborate with product leads and cross-functional teams to identify, estimate, design, implement, and test technical requirements.
- Test, analyze, debug, and troubleshoot software designs and solutions.
- Manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, including 6–8 years as an application developer developing multi-tier Python applications.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts, model training, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with generative AI architectures, transformers, and large language models such as GPT.
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, RESTful services, and SOAP web services using XML or JSON.
- Experience with open-source frameworks such as PyTorch and LangChain.
- Knowledge of secure coding, data privacy, and adversarial attack vectors.
- Experience deploying applications on Microsoft Azure and using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to query relational databases including DB2 and Sybase, and cloud data sources including Snowflake.
- Experience with Jupyter, Visual Studio Code, Maven or Gradle, Git, DevOps tools, Jenkins, CI, and Sonar.
- Experience developing service-oriented architecture applications.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and ability to deliver solutions using TDD and BDD.
- Strong problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
