Responsibilities
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant, cloud-native AI services on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop secure, documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and external developers.
- Collaborate on data pipelines, orchestration, service APIs, AI model deployment, training, and AI tooling.
- Implement API security, authentication, authorization, and data-privacy controls.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional and global R&D teams.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years working directly on AI/ML systems or platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and services such as Azure Functions, AKS, and API Management.
- Strong expertise in RESTful API design, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with LLMs, RAG, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, tool calling, MCP, and A2A.
- Knowledge of machine-learning algorithms including regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning.
- Experience with AI frameworks, tools, and Python.
- Experience securing APIs and managing authentication, authorization, and data privacy.
- Knowledge of AI ethics and regulations such as NIST AI RMF and the EU AI Act.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and working in collaborative Agile teams.
- Experience with automated testing and evaluation of AI outputs is preferred.
