Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, virtual networks, storage, databases, and PaaS services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and software delivery using Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps pipelines, scripting, and IaC practices.
- Operate Azure PaaS workloads including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage, and Event Hub.
- Administer AKS clusters, including scaling, upgrades, RBAC, ingress, network policies, workload identity, and pod security.
- Manage Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, VNet peering, Private Endpoints, firewalls, gateways, DNS, and hybrid topologies.
- Implement Azure security, identity, governance, monitoring, compliance, vulnerability management, patch governance, and incident response.
- Build monitoring, alerting, dashboards, documentation, and troubleshooting procedures for Azure environments.
- Support cloud migrations, workload migrations, and hybrid cloud integrations in collaboration with development, security, and operations teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience or relevant industry certifications.
- At least 3 years of experience in a cloud engineering role implementing, designing, and managing Microsoft Azure solutions.
- Proficiency with Azure infrastructure as code, including required Terraform experience and Bicep or ARM templates.
- Experience operating AKS or self-managed Kubernetes in production environments.
- Knowledge of Azure services, networking, IAM, encryption, compliance, VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS, and load balancing.
- Familiarity with Azure Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, service principals, and Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD tooling such as GitLab CI.
- Scripting proficiency in Bash and/or Python.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Preferred qualifications include healthcare, SaaS, or regulated-industry experience; Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or AZ-700; CKA/CKAD; GitOps, policy-as-code, secrets management, FinOps, Windows Server, Active Directory, and hybrid identity experience.
