Base Salary
$232k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end orchestration, monitoring, and framework systems for massive global scale and high availability.
- Develop tools and frameworks that improve the velocity and quality of internal engineering teams.
- Use statistical analysis to diagnose performance regressions and optimize resource utilization.
- Lead large-scale engineering projects from inception through global productionization.
- Define organization-wide engineering standards and make complex buy-versus-build and rewrite-versus-incremental decisions.
- Identify architectural gaps and reduce technical debt across the organization.
- Provide technical mentorship, review code and designs, and lead engineers while fostering continuous learning.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Operations on global projects and technical investments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience building scalable, fault-tolerant products or platforms.
- Proficiency in one or more of Go, C, C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience leading large-scale engineering projects through their full lifecycle.
- Experience making complex engineering and business tradeoffs and addressing architectural gaps.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: Master’s or PhD focused on distributed computing, system performance, or machine learning.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Linux internals, container orchestration, or modern security architectural patterns.
- Preferred: open-source contributions or leadership in industry-level technical discussions.
