Base Salary
$118k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a Palantir Foundry-based data product, owning its enterprise ontology, curated data assets, and analytics engineering framework.
- Define ontology models and semantic relationships for clinical, operational, financial, and administrative healthcare concepts using EHR, ERP, and related enterprise data.
- Design and optimize PySpark transformations, data pipelines, derived metrics, KPIs, and analytical datasets for reporting and product capabilities.
- Establish architecture standards, data contracts, ontology patterns, engineering practices, semantic modeling frameworks, and governed metric foundations.
- Drive data quality, governance, security, privacy, lineage, auditability, scalability, reliability, performance, and observability practices.
- Lead architectural decisions, technical strategy, platform investment prioritization, and evaluation of emerging technologies and platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, operations, data governance, security, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into durable technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and analytics professionals and promote modern, AI-assisted, and agentic engineering practices.
Requirements
- A relevant degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience is required.
- Strong expertise in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering, including large-scale distributed data platforms.
- Experience with PySpark, Spark, Python, SQL, distributed data processing, production-grade data products, analytical datasets, and reusable transformation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of entity-relationship modeling, dimensional modeling, ontology development, domain-driven design, semantic architecture, and enterprise data modeling.
- Experience with automated testing, code reviews, version control, monitoring, documentation, release management, and other modern engineering practices.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, reliable, and governed data platforms with data quality, lineage, observability, access controls, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to lead architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, communicate technical tradeoffs, and influence direction across teams.
- Ability to translate complex healthcare, operational, financial, and business workflows into durable technical models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience mentoring engineers and fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of agentic coding, AI-assisted development, and emerging AI technologies in software engineering and analytics workflows.
- Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience, including ontology development, datasets, transforms, Code Repositories, object types, link types, functions, actions, security, and application enablement, is highly preferred.
- Healthcare data experience involving EHR, ERP, FHIR, HL7, Epic, Oracle Health, claims, provider, financial, operational, or clinical data is preferred.
- Experience designing enterprise semantic layers, governed metric frameworks, certified datasets, enterprise reporting foundations, or large-scale ontology implementations is preferred.

- Estimated base salary range of $117,600.00 to $206,000.00, with geographic adjustments possible.
- Geographic factors may adjust the salary range, and hires typically fall below the top of the range.
