Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust test infrastructure and automation for the ML software stack.
- Architect and evolve scalable, maintainable test frameworks and tooling.
- Build and maintain pipelines targeting simulators, emulators such as QEMU, and physical hardware.
- Create representative ML workloads and analyze numerical accuracy, performance, and benchmarks.
- Collaborate with software development teams to improve quality, security, and maintainability.
- Review code and designs and uphold software engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and raise the team’s technical capability.
- Evaluate test strategies and infrastructure, identify gaps, and drive improvements.
Requirements
- Production-quality software engineering experience on large or complex systems.
- Strong software design and architecture skills.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience maintaining production codebases.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD systems, preferably GitHub-based workflows.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with C or C++ for reading, debugging, and reasoning about low-level code.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and influence engineering practices.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Exposure to PyTorch, JAX, Triton, or TensorFlow is desirable.
- Experience with Kubernetes, VLLM, Keras, or MLOps pipelines is desirable.
- Experience with hardware simulators or emulators such as QEMU is desirable.
- Experience with FPGA-based systems is desirable.
- People-management or mentoring experience is desirable.
