Base Salary
$100k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with enterprise wealth management platforms.
- Own features from specification through design, implementation, testing, deployment, post-launch monitoring, and iteration.
- Write production-grade TypeScript with strong testing, observability, and operational discipline.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate ambiguous problems into technical solutions.
- Contribute to system design decisions involving scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, on-call rotations, and the development of engineering culture and tooling.
Requirements
- Requires 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience shipping backend systems to production.
- Requires strong TypeScript proficiency or deep experience with Java, Go, C#, Kotlin, or Rust and the ability to ramp into TypeScript.
- Requires hands-on experience designing and operating systems at meaningful scale with real traffic, data volumes, and users.
- Requires knowledge of API design, relational and NoSQL databases, messaging and event-driven systems, caching, and concurrency.
- Requires experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker or Kubernetes; and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Requires operational experience with logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, and supporting shipped systems.
- Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment and collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include early- or growth-stage startup experience, fintech or regulated-environment experience, AI/ML infrastructure, LLM-powered product development, document processing, and enterprise financial-platform integrations.
- Exposure to Node.js, NestJS, tRPC, Prisma, and PostgreSQL is a bonus.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
