Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate scalable network reliability solutions for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Own the end-to-end configuration, dependencies, performance, security, resiliency, and operability of mission-critical services and technology areas.
- Develop automation and orchestration for incident remediation, network device upgrades, configuration changes, capacity management, and device operations.
- Partner with development teams to improve service architecture and guide the delivery of capabilities across Oracle Cloud services.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed-system issues, define mitigations, and serve as the escalation point for undocumented critical problems.
- Communicate service topology, capacity, security, performance, and technical characteristics to stakeholders and development teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in network and software development.
- Proficiency with Java, Python, or C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency with network technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and search and sort algorithms.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred experience with cloud networking, service-oriented systems, REST, network automation, device management, network support, or large ISP and cloud provider environments.
- Preferred experience with network modeling and programming using YANG, OpenConfig, and NETCONF.
- Preferred experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- A master’s or Ph.D. in computer science is preferred.
