Responsibilities
- Develop AI/ML software on an agile Scrum team supporting mission-critical space systems.
- Apply optimization, signal processing, control theory, machine learning, probabilistic modeling, neural networks, classification, and dimensionality reduction techniques.
- Use high-level programming languages and version control to implement and maintain software solutions.
- Support tools and systems in a fast-paced development environment and contribute to opportunities for technical or leadership advancement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another STEM-related field with 5+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 1 year of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Demonstrated expertise with AI/ML techniques including optimization theory, maximum likelihood estimation/classification, signal processing, control theory, training strategies, probabilistic modeling, neural network architectures, ML classifiers, and dimensionality reduction.
- Strong applied mathematics background and experience with MATLAB, Python, or R.
- Experience with version control software, preferably Git.
- Preferred qualifications include active TS/SCI clearance, mission management algorithms, RF processing algorithms, Docker, Kubernetes, embedded or Linux development, distributed algorithms, GPU programming, the PMM framework, GNU Radio, or X-Midas.
Benefits
- Primary base salary range is $106,000.00-$159,000.00 annually, with potential overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus eligibility.

- Relocation assistance may be available.
- The position is 100% onsite in Morrisville, NC and cannot accommodate telecommuting.
- The role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and requires approximately 10% travel.
