Base Salary
$150k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess and guide security for existing and new products.
- Establish and maintain secure boot processes that protect firmware and software integrity and authenticity.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and manage HSM solutions, encryption, key management, and secure cryptographic operations.
- Work with software, hardware, quality assurance, and product management teams to integrate security throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Lead embedded security implementation across multiple platforms and evangelize embedded security.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in product security or cybersecurity security engineering.
- Expertise in secure boot processes, HSM integration, and BSP maintenance for embedded devices.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, protocols, and algorithms.
- Programming experience in embedded languages such as C, C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, protocols, and compliance requirements including FIPS 140-2 and Common Criteria.
- Preferred experience with automotive embedded systems, ECUs, in-vehicle networks, and automotive protocols such as AUTOSAR.
- Preferred familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29, SAE International guidance, and Auto-ISAC Automotive Cybersecurity Best Practices.
- Preferred knowledge of OBD-II, UDS, and secure OTA update mechanisms.
