Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across Sterling Order Management, Web Store, Call Center, and inventory modules.
- Design, develop, and enhance order capture, sourcing, fulfillment orchestration, inventory visibility, payment, cancellation, return, and customer care solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and create technical design documentation.
- Build and maintain integrations between Sterling OMS and upstream/downstream systems, cloud platforms, and middleware.
- Improve the stability, performance, and scalability of Sterling OMS applications.
- Conduct design and code reviews and promote development best practices.
- Research and recommend technologies supporting the technical strategy.
- Participate in full SDLC activities, sprint planning, estimation, and development sessions.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot system and process issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Develop reusable code and libraries to improve development efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate tools, frameworks, and development practices.
- Mentor team members and improve overall team technical capability and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5–7+ years of overall Information Technology experience.
- 5+ years of experience implementing and enhancing IBM Sterling Order Management applications in retail environments.
- 3+ years of experience with the IBM Sterling Order Management Suite and demonstrated subject matter expertise.
- Experience delivering at least two full-lifecycle implementations covering requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Java and OMS development, including SOA, XML/XSLT, REST, and JSON.
- Experience with solution estimation, team structure definition, inventory management systems and processes, and concurrent projects in an Agile environment.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management version 9.5 and/or 10.
- Proficiency with Eclipse IDE and SoapUI.
- Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle or DB2; familiarity with NoSQL databases preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
- Ability to lead SDLC activities, communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, mentor team members, work independently, and manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of IBM Sterling Store and IBM Call Center applications preferred.
