Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and optimize robust backend services for the subscription and payments platform.
- Develop systems that enable membership and revenue collection for Crunchyroll users.
- Integrate payment providers and support payment fraud detection and prevention.
- Optimize performance and reduce passive churn while maintaining PCI compliance.
- Collaborate with design, product, quality, and data teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident management.
- Maintain reliable, secure, distributed, and scalable services processing millions of payments.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in the software industry.
- Experience building robust and reliable backend services.
- Experience with Java, Go, Python, PHP, TypeScript, or Node.js.
- Experience with cloud technologies including API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, RDS, and ECS.
- Experience with databases including PostgresDB, MariaDB, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
- Experience with operational excellence, on-call rotations, and incident management.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile and collaborative environment.
