Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, design, maintain, validate, and test software for organizational products and systems.
- Perform software and hardware system integration to maintain throughput and program consistency.
- Develop structures and user documentation.
- Build and maintain Android applications for public safety and enterprise communications.
- Integrate Java and Kotlin code with native C/C++ through JNI and SWIG.
- Apply Android architecture, lifecycle management, concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization practices.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on Java experience for Android development.
- Working knowledge and experience integrating Kotlin modules into Java-based projects.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK API 35+, Android lifecycle components, services, broadcast receivers, and framework APIs.
- Experience with Android architecture components, repository patterns, multi-module Gradle projects, build variants, flavors, and dependency management.
- Proficiency with Android Studio debugging tools, profilers, and build optimization.
- Knowledge of Android power management, background limits, telephony APIs, Activity, Fragment, Services, Content Providers, and Intent filters.
- Hands-on experience with JNI, SWIG-generated wrapper classes, and Java/Kotlin integration with native C/C++ code.
- Understanding of memory allocation, deallocation, leak prevention, multithreading, thread management, synchronization, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience developing mobile applications in the telecom domain for public safety and enterprise communication.
- Extensive experience with SIP, RTP, RTCP, TCP, and UDP protocols.
- Experience with Flutter or a similar cross-platform framework is beneficial.
