Responsibilities
- Define, measure, and manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to improve system reliability.
- Lead incident response, troubleshoot complex system issues, and conduct blameless post-mortems.
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing strategies.
- Maintain and scale Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and automation that reduces toil.
- Debug and resolve application and platform issues running on Kubernetes and Docker.
- Monitor performance, forecast resource needs, and scale infrastructure to meet demand.
- Integrate security practices, compliance controls, and automated vulnerability remediation into the platform.
- Partner with product and platform teams to standardize run patterns and promote an SRE culture.
- Create documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans and share engineering best practices.
- Lead war rooms and communicate complex technical issues clearly.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience with SRE principles, SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and incident management.
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience, including diagnosing pods, logs, events, probes, networking, resources, and volumes.
- Solid Linux fundamentals and deep proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Extensive experience with monitoring and logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenSearch, plus distributed tracing.
- Practical AWS knowledge covering IAM, VPC and networking fundamentals, EC2, EKS, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Platform experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Git workflows.
- Working knowledge of service lifecycles such as Java and Spring Boot and reliable service containerization.
- Experience leveraging AI coding and editing tools while maintaining quality.
- Fluent English and strong communication skills, with the ability to operate independently, lead war rooms, and drive solutions end to end.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, ECR, ALB/NLB, RDS, Parameter Store, Secrets Manager, OPA, Gatekeeper, Kyverno, chaos engineering, fault injection, performance or load testing, and regulated release management.
