Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate breach learnings and threat-actor behaviors into deterministic engineering controls that prevent recurrence across multiple services.
- Design platform-level enforcement mechanisms that eliminate classes of vulnerabilities without service-by-service remediation.
- Develop reusable prevention frameworks and paved-path security standards.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate preventative controls into production while maintaining service reliability.
- Enable rapid deployment of security countermeasures across Microsoft’s identity fleet against emerging threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 1+ year, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience may include software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat analysis or modeling, cybersecurity, vulnerability research, and anomaly detection.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred qualifications include a doctorate, or a master’s degree plus 3+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes 3+ years in SOC detection, threat analytics, SIEM, IT, or operations incident response.
- Understanding of identity and access technologies, including authentication and authorization protocols, tokens, certificates/PKI, and MFA.
