Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software tools, applications, automation, or back-end systems for engineering workflows and product development.
  • Use Python and other programming languages to build scripts and services that improve engineering efficiency.
  • Support AI and data analysis efforts by analyzing engineering data, logs, and performance metrics.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, reproduce problems, and assist with root-cause analysis.
  • Work in Linux-based development environments to build, test, and deploy software.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, data science, and product engineering teams.
  • Create documentation for tools, code, workflows, and project deliverables.
  • Present work, receive feedback, and contribute to solutions related to firmware and validation engineering needs.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Must return to school following the internship.
  • Experience with Python or another programming language.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: experience with back-end development, APIs, or service-oriented architecture.
  • Preferred: exposure to AI/ML concepts, model development, or applied machine learning workflows.
  • Preferred: experience with data analysis, scripting, or automation.
  • Preferred: familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong interest in data center storage, software engineering, or AI-enabled systems.
