Base Salary
$240k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the technical direction of Zocdoc’s internal developer platform.
- Design and architect secure, scalable platform services that are easy to use.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure leaders to align platform capabilities with developer needs.
- Identify developer pain points and prioritize high-impact investments.
- Improve measurable developer outcomes such as build times and deployment safety.
- Establish and track success metrics for platform adoption and reliability.
- Guide strategic investments in platform capabilities, including AI integration.
- Mentor engineers and shape shared patterns to enhance architectural quality.
- Ensure platform standards align with security and compliance expectations.
- Contribute to a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Significant experience building or evolving internal developer platforms or CI/CD systems.
- Strong judgment around platform design, abstractions, and APIs.
- Experience architecting and operating distributed systems in AWS or similar environments.
- Ability to translate technical vision into measurable impact.
- Clear communication of technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Motivation to enable engineers to build reliable and secure systems.
