Responsibilities
- Write and review architectural plans and participate hands-on in implementing new software projects.
- Develop and maintain reliable, scalable marketplace services, APIs, data-driven systems, and user interfaces.
- Use AI coding, review, debugging, and agentic development tools to improve delivery speed without compromising quality.
- Solve complex technical problems, make sound technical decisions, and drive delivery within the engineer’s service or domain area.
- Perform code reviews and mentor engineers on effective review practices and technical growth.
- Set technical direction, influence product and business decisions, and collaborate with product managers, designers, leadership, and global engineering teams.
- Help establish engineering practices and a high technical bar as a founding engineer on the India PDT team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
- Strong full-stack development expertise, including backend development with Python and frontend development with React and TypeScript.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling production workloads on AWS.
- Hands-on proficiency with modern AI development tools and a track record of using them to meaningfully accelerate delivery while preserving code quality.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, technical direction, and cross-functional influence skills.
- Marketplace product experience and understanding of scaling multi-sided platforms are highly desirable.
