Staff Site Reliability Engineer, Government

Responsibilities
- Drive continuous software delivery, resolve production incidents, run postmortems, and develop automation for deployment, self-testing, and alerting.
- Lead incident management, recovery, root cause analysis, and preventative follow-up actions for production issues.
- Improve observability and monitoring strategies with application engineering teams to strengthen alerting and reduce noise.
- Define, implement, and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs with product and engineering teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain software addressing operational, compliance, and pipeline challenges.
- Own and coordinate government-environment releases while improving release pipeline efficiency, reliability, and visibility.
- Understand product architecture and service dependencies to manage risk and implement effective testing strategies.
- Partner with engineering, product, SecOps, compliance, operations, validation, and leadership teams.
- Ensure infrastructure and deployments meet FedRAMP, government regulations, and industry standards, including required documentation and risk assessments.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering for SaaS products, including 4+ years operating at large scale.
- 2+ years of production experience with container orchestration and continuous delivery, preferably Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of government compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, DoD requirements, NIST 800-53, and NIST 800-137.
- Multi-cloud experience with AWS and GCP, with AWS expertise preferred.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Ruby, plus Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with GitOps frameworks, Terraform or Pulumi, and blue-green, rolling, and canary deployment strategies.
- Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry and with incident management processes.
- Experience implementing and supporting FedRAMP, security, risk management, and compliance processes for software releases.
- Experience working directly with government agencies or in highly regulated industries, plus familiarity with testing automation at scale.
- U.S. citizenship and a work location in the United States are required; customer or third-party background checks, potentially including Secret Clearance, may apply.
