Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, modular, optimized test automation architectures for embedded systems.
- Define automation standards, reusable test components, framework guidelines, and technical strategy.
- Lead the design and development of automated test suites across integration, system, regression, and environmental testing.
- Define and monitor quality KPIs including defect detection efficiency, automation execution coverage, protocol timing and throughput, and framework reliability.
- Optimize test execution time, reliability, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Lead complex test strategy decisions and technically challenging automation workflows.
- Drive the team toward an accelerated automation roadmap with measurable milestones.
- Mentor team members and support team development.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in embedded software testing, including hands-on automation.
- Advanced Python scripting and test framework development experience.
- Strong expertise with Robot Framework and Selenium for web UI automation.
- Deep understanding of BSP, bootloaders, kernel-level behavior, and low-level firmware and driver interactions.
- Knowledge of embedded protocols including Modbus, CAN, and RS485.
- Experience with hardware tools and debugging instruments.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to drive technical strategy and automation engineering vision.
- Strong mentoring, communication, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- ISTQB certification is optional but beneficial.
- Working knowledge of C or C++ for firmware comprehension is preferred.
