Base Salary
$215k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving model selection, data, features, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams in a cross-functional engineering environment.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor machine learning models in production.
- Build or leverage cloud architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct optimized data pipelines for ML model training and use.
- Apply deployment automation, monitoring, governance, vulnerability reduction, and Responsible and Explainable AI practices.
- Provide technical leadership in developing ML solutions using engineering best practices, patterns, and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark and Ray for AI or ML data preparation.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes for containerized ML systems.
- Preferred: master's or doctoral degree in a related field.
- Preferred: experience optimizing ML algorithms, configurations, infrastructure, software quality practices, resilient deployments, monitoring, incident response, ML techniques and architectures, and production-ready data pipelines.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of technical leadership developing ML solutions.
- Preferred: authorship or co-authorship of a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept.
