Responsibilities
- Advocate for customer outcomes while recommending appropriate AWS, Percona, or self-managed open-source solutions.
- Help existing customers optimize AWS performance and costs and adopt additional AWS or Percona services.
- Support customers migrating to AWS and ensure Percona support and services transition with them.
- Provide technical depth for Percona’s AWS partnership, including co-sell motions, partner programs, and joint go-to-market activities.
- Design professional service offerings such as migration assessments, cost optimization reviews, and architecture audits.
- Act as a senior Solutions Architect during pre-sales cycles and enable Sales and Marketing on AWS-related opportunities and campaigns.
- Create technical content, build professional networks, and speak at AWS and industry events.
- Hire and mentor a dedicated team as the AWS Practice expands.
Requirements
- Deep, real expertise in the AWS ecosystem is required, with hands-on experience helping customers run open-source databases on AWS.
- Experience providing architectural guidance for database performance, cost optimization, reliability, implementations, and migrations.
- Ability to make technically grounded recommendations between managed AWS services, self-managed infrastructure, and Percona-supported open-source solutions.
- Experience serving as a customer-facing Solutions Architect or technical advisor in pre-sales and professional services contexts.
- Ability to design service offerings and contribute to business growth, partnerships, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong thought leadership and communication skills, including content creation, professional networking, and conference speaking.
- Ability to hire, mentor, and build a dedicated practice team.
