Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end quality, organization, and maintenance of connector documentation.
- Develop expertise in connector configuration, authentication, permissions, deployment, and troubleshooting requirements.
- Build and maintain scripts, agents, automations, and content pipelines for documentation creation, transformation, validation, and maintenance.
- Design reusable AI workflows with models, tools, product context, instructions, and human review.
- Create evaluations, guardrails, and deterministic checks for AI-generated and AI-maintained documentation.
- Establish information architecture for complex technical setup and configuration flows.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, QA, Support, field teams, customers, and subject-matter experts to identify documentation risks and improvements.
- Define and track documentation-health measures including freshness, accuracy, automated-check coverage, manual effort, and customer or support complaints.
- Apply successful documentation tools, standards, and quality systems across Glean’s broader documentation practice.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of professional experience creating or maintaining technical documentation for a complex software product.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technical communication, engineering, or another relevant field.
- Ability to independently build, debug, test, and maintain scripts, agents, automations, or content pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience with docs-as-code or software-development workflows, including Git, GitHub, command-line tools, code review, and CI/CD.
- Advanced practical experience using AI beyond one-off content generation.
- Strong knowledge of technical writing, content design, audience analysis, information architecture, task-oriented documentation, and progressive disclosure.
- Ability to learn a technically complex product deeply and explain it authoritatively.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration with engineering, product, QA, support, field, and subject-matter-expert teams.
- Recent professional experience in software development, test automation, or quality assurance.
- Experience building automated tests or content-quality checks with tools such as Playwright.
- Experience documenting enterprise software, APIs, authentication systems, permissions models, integrations, or administrative workflows.
- Familiarity with API specifications and structured documentation sources, including OpenAPI.
- Experience working directly with customers or conducting structured customer research.
- Experience defining service-level objectives or other measurable standards for documentation freshness and accuracy.
