Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and maintain reliable software across the customer platform ecosystem.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and services connecting customer-facing applications with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Modernize legacy applications and reduce technical debt and unnecessary complexity.
  • Build secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions using appropriate engineering patterns and standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, architects, and engineers to turn customer and business needs into working software.
  • Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, engineering standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Improve automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and observability.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues by identifying root causes.
  • Share knowledge and support other engineers across the team.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial software development experience using Python.
  • Experience building modern web applications, backend services, and/or APIs.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and maintainable code.
  • Experience with REST APIs and integrating multiple systems.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based application architectures.
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD.
  • Understanding of application security, performance, and observability.
  • Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
  • Confidence working with both modern and legacy technologies.
  • A pragmatic approach to balancing technical quality, customer value, and delivery.
  • Useful but nonessential experience includes Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks, AWS, Salesforce integrations, Microsoft Dynamics 365 integrations, identity and authentication platforms, event-driven architectures, ecommerce or transactional platforms, and legacy application modernization.
