Base Salary
$220k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered solutions using models such as OpenAI and Gemini, RAG, multi-call prompting, and agent frameworks.
- Turn healthcare data into actionable insights and intelligent workflows with product, data, and engineering teams.
- Develop ML pipelines and platform components for experimentation, fine-tuning, training, and production deployment.
- Prototype and productionize AI-driven features including personalization, care routing, decision support, and summarization.
- Lead architecture discussions and technical decisions across AI/ML systems and promote best practices for coding, design, and model evaluation.
- Mentor engineers and data scientists across the organization.
- Explore evolving LLM and applied AI technologies for Maven’s platform.
Requirements
- A strong track record building AI-powered applications with foundation models and orchestration techniques or working across the data science lifecycle to train or fine-tune models.
- Experience integrating and deploying foundation models through platforms such as OpenAI or Google Vertex AI.
- Understanding of health-related datasets, including user behavior, care journeys, health profiles, and provider interactions.
- Fluency in Python and backend or platform engineering experience in an additional language such as Go or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud-native systems, containerization, orchestration, distributed systems, and operationalizing AI solutions.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model evaluation, and end-to-end ML deployment workflows.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in backend development, platform architecture, and ML/AI platforms or products.
- Proven ability to build highly scalable, performant, and reliable systems with modern technologies.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills and an interest in improving healthcare outcomes with AI.
