Responsibilities
- Manage and support acceptance and integration of containerized mobile packet core software releases through the test cycle.
- Test, validate, and integrate software releases and design changes for deployment into live service.
- Identify and mitigate delivery and operational risks through test management and platform validation.
- Use packet capture, diagnostics, performance, telemetry, logging, and tracing tools to assess system behavior.
- Communicate with stakeholders and vendors to enable reliable delivery into operations.
Requirements
- Experience in integration and/or testing for mobile telecoms packet core platforms across 2G, 3G, 4G, or 5G, preferably with containerized and cloud-native platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of packet core components including SGSN, MME, SGW, PGW, EPDG, DNS, AMF, SMF, and UPF.
- Hands-on experience with Wireshark, Infovista Ativa, or equivalent testing, packet capture, and diagnostics tools.
- Understanding of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, orchestration, and automation.
- Proficiency with GTPv1/v2, NGAP, Diameter, PFCP, SBI, HTTP/2, REST/JSON, OpenAPI, IPv4, IPv6, UDP, TCP, SCTP, and GRE.
- Knowledge of 5G QoS Flow, QFI, PCC, PCF, SMF and UPF policy enforcement, mobility and session procedures, and related GTP, NGAP, and PFCP messages.
- Knowledge of IPsec, encryption, authentication, security associations, certificates, and TLS.
- Knowledge of NETCONF, REST, YANG models, ETSI MANO, Kubernetes API, Docker, and Container Network Interface.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, ARP, NTP, BGP, SFTP, FTP, SNMP, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Relevant engineering or related technical degree, or certifications such as Cisco CCNA-SP or Juniper equivalents.
- Ability to obtain the required level of security clearance, including BPSS, Security Clearance, or Developed Vetting.
