Responsibilities
- Develop and test firmware in C for WHOOP products using software tools, hardware tools, and instrumentation.
- Contribute to firmware architecture, feature development, and driver development.
- Debug issues across software and hardware domains using electronic test equipment.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
- Design, implement, and debug firmware self-tests to support test automation.
- Support electrical development through component selection and driver bring-up.
- Use AI as a development tool and share learnings with teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of embedded software development experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and device driver development.
- Fluency in electrical engineering fundamentals and knowledge of electrical design basics.
- Ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers for debugging.
- Familiarity with operating systems, real-time operating systems, I2C, SPI, USART, Git, unit testing, and functional testing.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
