Responsibilities
- Build and evolve internal labeling tools and systems supporting Waymo’s mapping operations.
- Collaborate with Mapping Operations, UX, product, and engineering teams to deliver internal tools.
- Integrate machine learning models into mapping workflows with ML teams.
- Build backend infrastructure for storing and processing multiple forms of map data.
- Use Google’s ecosystem to build, deploy, and scale backend services processing large volumes of mapping data.
- Scale mapping systems to support expansion into new and complex urban environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with C++ and large-scale data processing.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end across a complex domain and multiple parts of the system.
- Passion for good software engineering.
- Hands-on experience with geographical data is preferred.
