Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver backend features for marketplace challenges.
- Build APIs and backend services supporting supplier matching, ordering, and final delivery.
- Contribute to architecture, scalability, performance, reliability, testing, monitoring, and observability improvements.
- Lead technical projects, make architectural decisions, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Develop event-driven solutions for increasing order volumes and business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the Backend Engineering Guild to establish standards and improve backend systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience developing web applications and backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring production-grade systems.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.
- Ability to lead technical projects, make architectural decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Experience working in Agile environments with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Marketplace platform or operational systems experience is a bonus.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Angular and TypeScript is a bonus.
