Responsibilities
- Architect test metrics, stations, and alignment systems for prototype AR display components.
- Develop image-processing algorithms for visual performance and image-quality metrics.
- Design and implement scalable, robust software solutions across optical engineering domains.
- Automate image capture and processing to improve efficiency and experimental repeatability.
- Collaborate across teams to understand and optimize complex optical technology systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry and academic experience with Python and/or C++.
- Specialized expertise in optical metrology methods, camera systems, and imaging instrumentation.
- Proven expertise in image processing and computer vision, including display image-quality assessment and feature detection.
- Experience designing resilient, scalable software architectures.
- Experience with test automation and custom optical test-system development.
- Ability to design and execute complex optical experiments and derive meaningful insights from them.
- Ability to troubleshoot advanced optical metrology tools and deliver statistically rigorous performance evaluations.
- A bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with OpenCV, SciPy, and Pillow is a plus.
- Experience developing user-centric GUI applications, knowledge of color science and colorimetry, and AR/VR technology experience are additional advantages.
