Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain embedded board support packages, peripheral drivers, communication stacks, and application-layer logic in C/C++.
- Write deterministic and defensive C code compliant with MISRA C and ISO 26262 functional-safety guidelines.
- Configure and optimize RTOS environments, including task scheduling, interrupts, inter-process communication, memory allocation, and timing constraints.
- Lead prototype-board hardware bring-up and perform system characterization, execution profiling, interrupt-latency tuning, and power/resource management.
- Debug hardware/software interaction issues using JTAG/SWD debuggers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems engineering, and V&V teams to define interfaces, perform bench testing, and validate code on target microcontrollers.
- Use Python or shell scripting for host-side tooling, build automation, test harness integration, and flashing utilities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on embedded software engineering experience delivering production-grade firmware for resource-constrained platforms.
- Expert proficiency in embedded C and C++, including pointers, memory management, concurrency, data structures, compiler behavior, and debugging optimized code.
- Production experience designing and debugging RTOS software, including scheduling, synchronization, interrupt handling, inter-task communication, resource management, and timing analysis.
- Hands-on experience with static analysis tools such as Coverity, Polyspace, QAC, or Cppcheck, including triaging findings, correcting defects, and managing suppressions.
- Strong understanding of MCU architectures such as ARM Cortex-M/R and TriCore, bare-metal and RTOS abstractions, register-level driver development, and bus protocols.
- Hands-on experience bringing up silicon or PCBs and using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and bus analyzers for low-level debugging.
- Working knowledge of regulated safety frameworks such as ISO 26262, IEC 62304, or DO-178C with trace-to-requirements discipline.
- Proficiency with Git, Bazel, and CI/CD pipelines for automated firmware compilation, static analysis, and testing.
- Preferred experience with ISO 14229/UDS, SOME/IP, DoIP, automotive Ethernet stacks, multi-core microcontrollers, Hardware Security Modules, secure boot, Python or C++ developer tools, HIL automation, MISRA C/C++, CERT C/C++, communication protocol development, and object-oriented programming.
