Responsibilities
- Develop and execute SIL test plans and test cases for embedded systems.
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand architecture and interfaces.
- Develop plant models to evaluate virtual software.
- Optimize and enhance SIL environments and testing tools.
- Participate in model, simulation, and design reviews and provide feedback on risks and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry testing and validation standards and best practices.
- Define SIL entry and exit criteria across levels of virtualization.
- Work across MIL, SIL, and PIL setups and open- and closed-loop simulation environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 8–10+ years of combined experience in software development, modeling, simulation, virtualization, and testing.
- Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR-based software architecture, including middleware.
- Experience with modeling tools such as MATLAB Simulink, Simscape, ASCET, and SystemDesk, including FMUs and co-simulation or model exchange.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of VEOS, Silver, vVirtualTarget, ISOLAR EVE, and QEMU; tool migration experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of automation framework tools and scripting languages, including Python, CAPL, and AutomationDesk.
- Strong automotive domain knowledge, especially cockpit electronics; battery management systems experience is preferred.
- Experience with Linux, Docker containerization, KVM, and virtual machines.
- Expertise across virtualization levels L1 through L4 and with open- and closed-loop simulation.
- Experience with automotive buses such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Experience with test management tools such as Xray and HP Quality Center.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum ceremonies and awareness of ASAM XiL.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
