Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead scalable, high-performance applications within Citi’s Insight regulatory reporting framework.
- Design and implement Java, Spring Boot, SQL, messaging, and Big Data solutions for large-scale data processing.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows supporting regulatory reporting.
- Define and enforce engineering standards for coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, business, and management teams to deliver system enhancements and new capabilities.
- Resolve high-impact technical and business-process challenges through complex analysis and pragmatic engineering solutions.
- Mentor and coach mid-level engineers and analysts, provide technical direction, and allocate work.
- Ensure engineering decisions address risk, compliance, data integrity, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience focused on backend engineering and enterprise-scale systems.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with advanced SQL and real-time messaging knowledge.
- Proven leadership and people-management skills, including guiding teams and allocating work.
- Experience designing software architecture and evaluating technical trade-offs.
- Practical experience delivering microservices-based architectures in production.
- Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
