Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs using Ab Initio products.
- Perform feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, risk analysis, application development, and model development.
- Manage and monitor application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Provide user and operational support and consult with business users and technology groups.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend programming solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and help define operating standards and procedures.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts while operating with limited direct supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 8–12 years of relevant IT industry experience.
- At least 4 years of application development experience using Ab Initio GDE, Express>IT, Conduct>IT, and Control Centre.
- Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and experience with Agile project implementation.
- Clear written and verbal communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and deadline-management skills.
- Banking and financial services industry experience is recommended.
- Knowledge of other ETL products is an added advantage.
