Responsibilities
- Understand department workflows, pain points, and data through discussions with colleagues.
- Identify valuable problems, simplify complex processes, and recommend where AI solutions are appropriate.
- Build, test, and deploy LLM-powered applications and agents from prototype through production.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation, tool integrations, prompts, and context handling.
- Build evaluation test sets, automated checks, and quality dashboards to improve solutions.
- Build and maintain data pipelines that feed AI systems.
- Manage work independently, provide regular updates, and document solutions.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders while navigating competing priorities.
Requirements
- Around 2+ years of software engineering or applied machine learning experience, or equivalent project experience.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical colleagues.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- A structured, pragmatic approach to finding problems and simplifying organizational complexity.
- Solid Python and software engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and a project involving RAG or agents, including some evaluation.
- Familiarity with SQL or data pipelines and at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Consulting, internship, or stakeholder-facing project experience is a plus.
