Responsibilities
- Execute quality-control tests and analyses to verify that software meets specified standards, development requirements, regulatory expectations, and client requirements.
- Create and manage test data files to validate program logic, system flows, and edge-case scenarios.
- Collaborate with development and project teams to plan, complete, and document test phases, including defect identification, tracking, and resolution.
- Administer and maintain product and process quality standards, procedures, and quality audits.
- Improve QA workflows using automated testing frameworks and exposure to real-time financial systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of software quality assurance or testing experience; internship and academic project experience count.
- Proficiency or solid understanding of Python and experience with pytest for writing and executing automated tests.
- Familiarity with macOS or Linux, client-server architecture, network protocols, and basic system administration.
- Understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, version control with Git, and bug tracking and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Preferred: exposure to Allure and other test reporting tools, Docker or Podman, AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, and ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
