Base Salary
$135k - $143k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage, document, maintain, and validate the Solution Intent and technical baseline.
- Track traceability between mission capabilities, technical enablers, and MCEN compliance requirements.
- Guide solution architectures supporting interoperability across enterprise portfolios.
- Identify infrastructure, cybersecurity, platform, and other technical enablers for future capabilities.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Release Train Engineers, and Enterprise Architects on technical solutions.
- Develop Program Increment and multi-PI technical roadmaps.
- Refine backlogs and ensure backlog items meet quality definitions before PI Planning.
- Provide data preparation and administrative support to the Lead Solution Architect.
- Translate high-level architecture concepts into actionable backlog structures.
- Support capability decomposition and maintain visibility of technical dependencies and runway.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering, mathematics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or information systems, plus 10 years of relevant experience; or an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in a qualifying quantitative field plus 14 years of relevant experience.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT systems architecture, engineering, and integration, including significant USMC, Naval, or DoD enterprise experience.
- Experience researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs, including applicable database maintenance.
- Experience applying programming concepts and modern software development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps.
- Strong experience with solution architecture, enterprise IT infrastructure, systems integration, and System-of-Systems environments.
- Knowledge of MCEN, technical baselines, traceability, capability decomposition, technical roadmapping, PI Planning, and backlog refinement.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure, platforms, interoperability, and technical dependencies in DoD enterprise environments.
- Current and active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include SAFe Architect, SAFe Solution Train Engineer or Practice Consultant, CISSP or CISM, Microsoft Azure architecture or DevOps certifications, CCNP or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, DoDAF or TOGAF training, INCOSE CSEP, zero-trust training, DevSecOps certifications, and cloud data architecture training.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, communicate effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
