Responsibilities
- Develop automated tests for John Deere’s real-time operating system using Python and custom test automation frameworks.
- Create embedded C test application software to validate RTOS features.
- Deploy unit and integration tests across virtual, hardware, and hybrid environments.
- Refactor RTOS features into modules to improve deployment efficiency.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in courses toward a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. locally accredited college or university.
- Have knowledge of Python or similar programming languages and experience with software development workflows.
- Be able to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Have a graduation date of Spring 2028 or later and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Preferred: knowledge of C and Python, familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins workflows, ability to read electronic hardware schematics, and experience with CAN communications such as J1939 and ISO 14229.
- Preferred: technical experience with the design and diagnostics of electro-hydraulic systems.
