Base Salary
$143k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and maintain performant, highly reliable software that records and processes billions of data points daily.
- Drive architectural decisions and implementations for resilient, maintainable, and scalable software.
- Communicate with stakeholders to capture and refine requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve user experience, reduce costs, and improve system performance.
- Support APIs and tools for querying, summarizing, and analyzing big data.
- Automate monitoring and alerting for anomalous market conditions.
- Generate reports that provide actionable business insights.
- Document relevant technical details in the team wiki.
- Use AI responsibly to improve productivity and system reliability.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 3 years of professional Java experience.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or a similar relational database.
- Experience with Linux and scripting.
- Experience with Git or similar version control.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Passion for big data and experience using AI across the software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
- Finance industry experience or knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
