Responsibilities
- Develop anomaly-detection and time-series forecasting models for operational and network data.
- Build KPI baselines and identify unusual system behavior.
- Design training, validation, and rolling-backtest methodologies.
- Evaluate forecast accuracy, model calibration, false positives, and missed detections.
- Develop probabilistic forecasts and prediction intervals where appropriate.
- Integrate engineering rules and domain knowledge with machine-learning results.
- Build reproducible training and inference pipelines and version models, features, datasets, and configurations.
- Collaborate with software engineers and domain experts.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills and practical experience with pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- Experience with time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, or predictive modeling.
- Understanding of ML training, validation, overfitting, and data leakage.
- Experience developing maintainable, tested software using Git.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with XGBoost, LightGBM, LSTM or transformer-based forecasting, probabilistic forecasting, quantile prediction, unsupervised anomaly detection, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, telecommunications, or network analytics.
