Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Playwright and related tools.
- Lead test automation strategy and align testing goals with QA and development objectives.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, UI, accessibility, usability, and API testing across application modules.
- Validate SQL data integrity, analyze backend processes, troubleshoot data issues, and test authentication flows.
- Manage and optimize testing environments using Docker Compose and CI/CD pipelines.
- Review code and test implementations for best practices, maintainability, and QA standards.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test reports, and coverage documentation.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on automation, analysis, and debugging.
- Identify coverage gaps, improve testing processes, and drive automation efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to postmortem reviews.
- Own the testing process from strategy through execution and reporting.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in automated testing with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Expert-level SQL proficiency, including complex query design, optimization, and data validation scripts.
- Extensive Playwright experience, including building scalable and maintainable test frameworks from scratch.
- Strong understanding and application of object-oriented programming principles in test automation architecture.
- Proficiency with Git and branching strategies for collaborative test development.
- Deep familiarity with Docker Compose and multi-service testing environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Advanced API testing experience, including REST and GraphQL testing, authentication validation, and reusable API test utilities.
- Strong experience with SQL and ORM tools such as Prisma for validating data integrity.
- Ability to evaluate UI/UX, accessibility, and design consistency.
- Ability to read frontend TypeScript and identify automation risks.
- Working knowledge of Java for analyzing backend logic, logs, and integration points.
- Experience with Selenium or similar automation tools and testing strategies.
- Advanced log analysis and debugging skills for distributed systems.
- Understanding of token validation, authentication flows, and access control.
- English proficiency at upper-intermediate level or higher.
- Strong communication, mentoring, QA leadership, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement skills.
- Experience testing financial or high-risk transactional applications is highly valued.
