Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed data-processing components for locking, consensus, scheduling, auto-scaling, and self-healing.
- Develop scalable microservices and high-throughput, low-latency APIs for distributed storage and data-processing platforms.
- Improve scalability and performance through concurrency and parallelization in multithreaded, distributed environments.
- Own the complete software development lifecycle from system design through production.
- Lead code and design reviews and advance system architecture knowledge across the team.
- Drive team growth through hiring, coaching, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and scalable data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems design, including concurrency, parallelization, consensus, scheduling, and resource management.
- Hands-on experience building scalable microservices and high-throughput APIs for data-processing platforms.
- Proficiency in Java for production software development.
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes across private and public clouds, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of distributed file systems such as S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, or HDFS.
- Knowledge of role-based access control in database or data-management platforms.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Clear communication, trust-building, customer focus, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving ability.
- Comfort using AI tools, including agentic AI, for routine work automation, output evaluation, and team adoption.
