Base Salary
$131k - $272k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to research, prototype development, and AI startup evaluations with lead machine learning engineers.
- Develop and optimize models through training, continued pretraining, reinforcement learning, fine-tuning, LoRA, and novel approaches.
- Create high-level requirements and software designs.
- Contribute to research papers and publications.
- Participate in software design, architectural and coding best practices, and code reviews.
- Support the full machine learning lifecycle, including data collection, annotation, modeling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Develop data-driven microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based machine learning solutions.
Requirements
- Master of Science degree in software engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a machine learning engineer or developer.
- At least 2 years of professional experience optimizing and serving machine learning models.
- Strong expertise in agentic engineering, AI tooling, terminal agents, agentic harnesses, and context engineering.
- Experience with SAP BTP and SAP AI Core.
- Strong expertise in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience with data-driven microservices, APIs, data pipelines, Docker containers, Kubernetes, and a cloud provider.
- Fluent English communication and the ability to collaborate in an agile team environment.
