Base Salary
$143k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and maintain embedded software using C and C++.
- Troubleshoot and debug software and electronic hardware systems.
- Perform functional testing of software updates and enhancements.
- Collaborate with Field Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Participate in on-site testing and troubleshooting and provide technical support.
- Document software functionality and system behavior.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Support coding standards, engineering best practices, design processes, and continuous product improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in real-time embedded software engineering.
- Strong C and C++ programming experience and embedded firmware development skills.
- Experience with embedded real-time operating systems and revision control systems such as Git.
- Experience troubleshooting embedded software and electronic hardware.
- Experience leading small projects and mentoring team members.
- Preferred experience includes elevator industry knowledge, elevator control systems, low-level device drivers, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Make/Cygwin, C#, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
