Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver large-scale real-time systems with strong quality, scalability, and operability.
- Collaborate with product management, data engineering, and other engineering teams on end-to-end customer solutions.
- Review and provide feedback on technical designs and code changes.
- Identify technical debt and propose solutions.
- Take operational ownership by using monitoring and observability tools to identify and respond to issues.
- Mentor and coach team members to raise the team’s technical bar.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant software development experience with modern programming languages and functional-style programming.
- Track record of leading the end-to-end design and delivery of large, ambiguous projects and influencing technical direction beyond your team.
- Strong software design and architecture skills, including scalability, performance, and reliability for high-traffic systems.
- Experience building distributed systems or public-facing or platform APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and non-engineers.
- Fluency with modern AI development tools, including AI coding assistants, effective context provision, and critical evaluation of generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and long-term quality.
