Responsibilities
- Design, debug, test, and review robotics systems in hardware-in-the-loop and sim-to-real environments.
- Build, configure, and integrate sensor fusion, perception, and remote autonomous deployment subsystems.
- Develop robot localization and state estimation capabilities, including visual-inertial odometry and SLAM.
- Develop and tune trajectory planning solutions using cost maps, planners, and behavior trees.
- Diagnose and resolve sensor integration, timing, frame inconsistency, and system failure issues.
- Own a robotics application over time, including system design, operational and strategic leadership, and technical leadership with internal and external partners.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in modern C++ or Python and productive experience in the other language.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying robotics software on Windows and Linux.
- Experience with Git, CMake, package management, logging, profiling, and CI.
- Experience with mobile robotics and one or more of robotic vision, state estimation and localization, or sensor fusion.
- ROS2 experience is strongly preferred but not required.
- Mechanical and electrical engineering experience relevant to robotics is welcome but not required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
