Responsibilities
- Develop Android applications and cross-platform functionality using Kotlin Multiplatform or the Kotlin/Java stack.
- Write high-performing, scalable, reusable, readable, and maintainable code.
- Implement new features, maintain existing functionality, optimize applications, and improve UI responsiveness.
- Investigate performance issues and help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and business analysts to align on best practices and clarify requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and refinement sessions, and contribute expertise to engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong proven track record of Android application development.
- Strong proven track record of Kotlin Multiplatform development.
- Experience with continuous integration, clean code, refactoring, and test-driven development.
- Proficiency with Kotlin/Java, Android and Material Design principles, application interface guidelines, and Android backend services.
- Experience with APIs, third-party libraries, SVN/Git, GitLab or alternatives, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Understanding of domain-driven design and software development best practices.
- Performance optimization experience is required or highly relevant.
- Mobile banking or regulated financial services experience, engineering coaching, engineering standards improvement, and German-language stakeholder alignment are beneficial.
